Statement / Bio
My teaching and studio practices are intertwined. In both I encourage collaborative investigation and exchange. As artmakers, we notice things around us and use those things; we draw from what is around us in an ongoing process.
I propose familiar tools of mine as a means to see and investigate what others see and notice. Both my teaching and studio practices aim to encourage sensitivity to one’s life through playful experimentation. I urge others to figure out how what they already pay attention to can be reflected upon, reframed, and used to express.
