Dashed Line Project
It was important that these tools got out of blank, neutral art spaces such as galleries and studios. In those white-cube spaces, the dashed lines could be reduced to an abstract, aesthetic element.
Once out of the gallery, ordinary and unremarkable spaces came in contact with unnaturally bright, graphic shorthand devices. Suddenly these spaces weren't ordinary or straightforward.
